Power systems

The main feature IBM Power of the server from the beginning was (and still is) the optimized internal architecture design, which brings the ability to work with high loads, unconditional security and reliability, where all maintenance, repairs and upgrades are done on the fly.

With three concurrent operating systems running AIX, IBMi, and Linux on the proprietary PowerVM dynamic virtualization platform, the availability of IBM Power is much higher than the usual x86 platform.

Manufacturing Technology: Power10 is manufactured using 7nm technology. This allows for higher transistor density and better energy efficiency.

Core count and performance: the Power10 has up to 24 cores per processor, almost double the number of cores of the previous Power9.
