Mission PROMISE! Will you fly with us to the moon and back?
If you are a fan of technology, science and research, you are interested in underwater dives or, on the contrary, trips to space - or ideally a combination of all this, don't miss this upcoming and unprecedented event in the Czech Republic.
Already on the first weekend in September, 6 - 8 September 2024 , a project called Mission PROMISEa simulated trip to the moon and back with the participation of Maj. Ales Svoboda, a Czech astronaut, former combat pilot, ESA member and quite possibly - another Czech who we could actually send into space in the future.
The mission will take place in a unique European training centre, called Little Moon City Prague (LMCP), located on the university campus in Prague's Dejvice district - and you won't want to miss it.
During the current planned simulated mission, various scientific experiments will be conducted and will also include an isolated ascent to the "lunar surface" using virtual reality, where the crew will collect geological samples. The rest of the crew will consist of the Hydronaut habitat designer Matyáš Šanda and Miroslav Rozložník, an expert in hyperbaric medicine.
Do you find that exciting? It is to us!
And it is not just us at ITS, but also other prominent organizations - such as the aforementioned ESA, NASA, or the Ministry of Transport, which together with other entities has supported the current mission with a more than telling and promising name, PROMISE.
If you are interested in what a simulated analogue mission can look like - which can help to reveal, for example, many small hiccups that could mean a fatal threat to the crew and the whole project on a real trip, what it all involves and how it all works - then feel free to join us!
All the time it will be part of the online science studiowhere you can also watch live interviews with representatives of the project, various collaborating faculties and last but not least with selected partners, where the CEO of ITS, Mr. Lumír Srch Jr., will speak for us.

What does ITS and Little Moon City Prague have in common?
The common denominator is our passion for technology and enthusiasm for the cause 🙂. Thanks to our rich experience, ITS has become a technology partner of Hydrounat and Little Moon City Prague - and you can find out what our role is, what exactly it entails and what we help with, for example, in the aforementioned interview, or very soon in the upcoming case study. Don't forget to follow us on LinkedIn or in our news feed.
You can read more about the current analog mission in the official press release.
If you are interested in the course, details and how everything will take place in a simulated environment, do not hesitate to come and see for yourself!

Hydronaut is a unique hybrid habitat, which was created not only in the head, but also in the hands of the Czech designer Matyáš Šanda, so it is not only a purely Czech, but also globally unique device. You can read the whole story here.
Hydronaut is currently part of the aforementioned training centre Little Moon City Prague (LMCP), which consists of:
- Hydronaut DeepLabH03 - hybrid training and training habitat
- Mission Control Center (MCC) - Ground Control Center
