ITS at the Tesco Supplier Summit in the UK
1 min
Last week we were invited as suppliers to Tesco 's headquarters in Welwyn Garden City near London, where the Tesco Group Supplier Summit took place with over 200 representatives from suppliers and subcontractors, mainly from the CEE region.
We greatly appreciate the fact that together with the selected mobile operator we were the only representatives of ITS for the Czech Republic.
There were several common denominators of the conference and these are topics that resonate not only with Tesco, but undoubtedly with the entire retail sector.
Sustainability, emissions reduction and "go green" in general were discussed, with efforts towards responsible and sustainable business being reflected, for example, in the use of renewable energy sources, support for local agriculture in the form of various innovative programmes and a zero-waste approach.
And every effort and every step counts. Specifically, for example, the switch to electric cars and greener forms of transport, or new, greener methods of refrigerating a range of products, which in volume and at the scale of a company like Tesco Group not only bring significant savings, but above all are often drivers of change for the whole industry.
As a technology provider of operational applications, we particularly value the opportunity to share ideas, innovations and success stories across markets, and these meetings are always very inspiring.
