Spring in the sign of student internships
2 min

At ITS, we believe that education is very important, and just like theory, practice should be an integral part of it. This is especially true in a field such as information technology, which is developing very dynamically and new teaching fields are being created. Let's name one for all, which corresponds fully with what we consider to be the topic of the future in ITS as well - Quantum Informatics at CTU.
But today's post belongs to high school talent. This year, we are pleased to continue our collaboration with Private High School of Computing in Prague 9, where in April we will again welcome two second and two third year students - this year including one girl. The finding that the attractiveness of the field and with it the increasing proportion of girls in IT is pleasing.
We are very pleased with the growing interest in computer science in general, but also with the interest in various forms of cooperation directly with our company, such as school internships - and certainly today students have a lot of choice in this direction as well. Despite the fact that this is a compulsory part of the course, students often approach it actively and choose for themselves the specific company in which they would like to complete their practical training. You can read more, for example, in this article.
Because of the aforementioned interest, we decided to open our doors to four more students, this time from Smíchov Secondary Industrial School and Gymnasium in Prague, who have applied themselves and their goal is to learn something in the field of cyber security. Of course, despite the heavy workload, we could not refuse.
We are curious to see how our short-term team members will cope with running a real company and the tasks that our colleagues from ITS are already preparing for them. We always try to add context to the theoretical knowledge we have acquired, answer questions, and, for example, provide the opportunity to encounter technologies that are not possible in regular training.
We look forward to it and hope that all students will take away useful knowledge from it.
